Starnes Family at Fort Hill — 2022
Following a few years of COVID and some challenges in all of us trying to get to Fort Hill Camp for the yearly Starnes Family Christmas at camp, most of us made it to camp this year. Carrie, Levi, Lauren, Maddie, Parker, Katie, Royal, Rayland, and James could not be with us, but the rest of us got to be there on Saturday. Most left Saturday night after our gift exchange, but it was still a good time! Patty saw most of the family this year and did more than her share of helping.
The weather was very warm compared to the previous weekend when we had below zero temps with high winds and snow! Patty and I walked by the creek on the property and decided to make the climb to Fort Hill nearby since Patty missed out on that last year. We did the climb and got some cool foggy photos on Saturday morning. At times we had clear skies and temps near 60ºF!
Most of the crew started showing up Saturday afternoon around 2-3 pm. We all tried to keep track of whether the Buckeyes or other teams were winning though most of us had no cell service.
The kids had many games of basketball and others of us got time to shoot or play horse or pig. 🙂
